Join the community for this opportunity to work with Wendy Hollender, Accord botanical artist, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at the Bevier House Museum and Gallery, 2687 Route 209, Marbletown. Hollender will guide students through the techniques of watercolor drawing, providing them with all the supplies needed for the day. Specimens of local heirloom apples will be the subject models. The Ulster County Historical Society is currently hosting an exhibit, “Beautiful Botanicals, Plant Forms in the Decorative Arts,” featuring Hollender’s art paired with items following the botanical theme from the collection at the museum. As this is an all-day event; attendees need to bring lunch. Beverages and snacks will be provided. Hollender will also have drawing supplies for purchase based on those being used for class. Reservations are requested, as there is a limit of 20 people. Deadline for registration is Sept. 12. For cost, more info and to sign up, call 845-377-1040 or visit ulstercountyhs.org.
