Posted

Vaune Sherin’s paintings will be on solo exhibition at the Healing Arts Gallery at Ellenville Regional Hospital, 10 Healthy Way, Ellenville, Jan. 13-Feb. 29, with the opening reception from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at the gallery. Sherin studied art at SUNY Orange and received a BA in art from SUNY Binghamton, with a concentration in painting. Her early work experience was in the art department of a silk screener for the garment industry. She is now a pastel painter focusing on still life and plein air landscapes. A represented artist at the Wallkill River School of Art, she also belongs to the Goshen Art League, and exhibits frequently with both groups. “The beauty of the Hudson Valley inspires me to create my artwork,” said Sherin. “My drawings are done plein air in a spontaneous manner. The feeling of that particular day and time and place naturally appears.” The show is free and open to the public, 8 a.m.-8 p.m. daily. For more info, call 845-210-3043.
