Live music with the Acquaintances and more at the High Falls Café


The upcoming lineup at the High Falls Café includes: the Acquaintances, with Rosendale’s Jeff Entin, writer and performer, Bob Blum on bass, and Larry Balestra on percussion, playing original music ranging in style from Miles Davis to Bob Dylan, Asleep at the Wheel to Frank Zappa, and also playing a fair share of covers including everything from jazz standards to rockabilly, 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11; Trio Mio, the “world's only four-piece trio,” driven by singer-songwriter-guitarist Fran Palmieri, with drummer and vocalist Robert Muller, guitarist and vocalist Bruce Hildenbrand, bassist and vocalist Steve Massardo, and Terri Massardo, who occasionally joins the “trio” on vocals, 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16; and Motown/Stax, authentic soul classics and gospel riffs with Soul City, 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18.
