Rondout grad, rapper Rah-C to perform at High Falls Cafe

Christian Rossi graduated from Rondout Valley High School three years ago. Since then, he has been going to college and working to become Rapper Rah-C. He started with a GoFundMe campaign and has since released albums, videos, was on MTV, and is slowly making a name for himself. Rapper Rah-C will perform at 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, at the High Falls Café, at Stone Dock Golf Club, 12 Stone Dock Road (off Canal and Berme roads), High Falls. Admission is $5 at the door, and wristbands will be given to students under age 18.

At age 13, Rah-C began making music in Rondout’s digital media classroom, composing 70-80 songs by the time he was 17.

“As his following has grown, so too have his high-level performances,” said Ayyan Zubair of #OnTheRise.  “A few years ago, he secured an opening act for legendary rapper DMX. In the past year, he has opened for Young M.A., Mobb Deep, Ghostface Killah and Raekwon. His affiliation with iconic hip-hop photographer Johnny Nunez helped him secure a “Friday Freestyle” on hip-hop mogul Sway Calloway’s “Sway in the Morning.”

Zubair affirmed, “His story is authentic, his voice is unique, and his grind is one-of-a-kind.”
