The monthly meeting of the Hudson Valley Humanists


Experienced in software engineering and design, Diane Wasserstrom will be the guest speaker at the meeting, 6 p.m. Sunday, April 16, at the New Paltz Community Center, 3 Veterans Way, New Paltz, off Route 32 north of the village and Stewart’s.  Wasserstrom’s talk will be “Privacy in the Age of the Internet, Big Data, and Laissez-Faire Capitalism.” How is personal data being used by corporations? What constitutes personal data?  Is there anything that can be done to control your data?” After the talk, audience members will socialize and enjoy snacks, coffee and tea.
